The University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Reed Fine Art Gallery will present Now and Then: Honoring the Legacy of the Arts at UMPI from August 31 – October 3, 2015. The show will be the first to be displayed in the gallery’s new space, located on the second floor of the Center for Innovative Learning (formerly the Library). The alumni exhibit features 18 of the Fine Art Program’s alumni and will show two pieces of each artist’s work. The public is invited to view the exhibition through the show’s run and gather for a gallery reception, being held in conjunction with the Presque Isle First Friday Art Walk, on Friday, September 4 from 5-7 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. The Reed Fine Art Gallery is open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery is closed Sundays and University holidays. FMI, contact Heather Sincavage at 768-9442 or firstname.lastname@example.org, or follow the gallery at www.facebook.com/ReedArtGallery.
